Ally and Chris Baird’s baby girl, Morgan Reese, was born with heart trouble. While at the hospital, Ally and Chris were given a Heart of Minky Mini blanket to pass along to their daughter. Written in Ally’s words, here is their story.

Sandi Hendry is the owner and founder of Minky Couture. She began with a hand-sewn blanket in 2009 when her adult daughter was sick with a life-threatening illness. Sandi had the first Minky Couture Adult blanket sewn for her daughter during a difficult time of her life. 

Sandi Hendry’s daughter, Jami, and her husband, Spencer, experienced having a child in the NICU. This story, in Jami’s words, was the inspiration behind the Heart of Minky.

Minky Couture’s charity, the Heart of Minky, pledges to donate one Mini size Minky blanket to NICUs across the United States for every Adult size Minky blanket purchased.
