Our founder, Sandi Hendry, started the company with a simple but powerful mission: to share comfort with those who need it most. Her dream to “blanket the world” continues to guide everything we do, from large-scale charity blanket donations to heartfelt moments of connection.
One of our most meaningful efforts is the Heart of Minky program, which donates over 60,000 mini blankets each year to NICUs across the country. Inspired by Sandi’s own grandchildren and their time in the NICU, the program reflects our deep commitment to families facing life’s most difficult challenges. This donation program is a cornerstone of our corporate social responsibility and a key part of our ongoing Minky community impact.
That same spirit of compassion extends to our larger community efforts. Minky Couture has pledged $1 million to support the Newborn Intensive Care initiative at Primary Children’s Hospital and most recently, Sandi and her family donated an additional $3 million to the hospital’s Primary Promise campaign. This gift helped make the new Autism Clinic in Riverton Utah a reality and plays a vital role in strengthening the future of children’s healthcare. Whether it's through a small blanket or a major initiative, we’re working to wrap the world in love, one act of kindness at a time.
Beyond our NICU efforts, Minky Couture is honored to support a wide range of causes both locally and globally. Each year, we donate over 22,000 blankets to individuals, families, and organizations in need. From personal fundraisers and local events to nonprofits, universities, religious groups, and international humanitarian efforts, we’re continually looking for meaningful ways to wrap comfort around the world through community donations and outreach. We’re proud to donate to nearly 1,000 different communities and organizations annually as part of our broader corporate social responsibility.
