10 of the Best.Places.Ever to Visit in St. George, UT!

With summer approaching and the weather getting warmer, we're really looking forward to some time in the sun. One of the best places to visit in Utah–even if it's just for a weekend getaway–is St. George!

1 -  Sand Hollow

We love the outdoors and St. George's scenery is some of the prettiest with their red rocks. Sand Hollow is a reservoir in Hurricane, UT where people love to go swimming, boating, and jet skiing. There's also a campsite in the state park and places to hike and drive ATVs. With all there is to do in Sand Hollow, it makes for such a fun all day activity.

2 - Tuacahn Amphitheater

The Tuacahn! The outdoor theater is so popular and one of our very favorite attractions and places to attend in St. George. People all across the state attend these fun, family friendly musical productions. This summer, Tuacahn is offering a variety of shows that everyone would enjoy. These include, Beauty and the Beast the Broadway musical, School of Rock the Musical, Annie, and new musical, The Count of Monte Cristo.

3 - Snow Canyon

Snow Canyon is full of various hikes including the lava tubes, petrified dunes, and Pioneer Names Trail. If you're visiting the park for the day, it's $10 per vehicle, and there's plenty of parking at the start of each trail. Another option is to camp within the park with multiple campsites available year-round--including RV sites!

4 - Benja's Thai and Sushi

If you're looking for a yummy, classic Thai food restaurant, this is the place to be. Benja's has two locations in St. George: Benja's Thai and Sushi and Benja's Thai Garden. Order anything from Pad Thai to Alaska rolls here. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

5 - Farmstead Bakery

This is one of the newest places in St. George (opened in March of 2021) and it's quickly become one of our favorites. They have everything from donuts and breakfast sandwiches to croissants and salads. Go check them out if you haven't already. You won't be disappointed!

6 - Ivins Reservoir

Ivins Reservoir is another great outdoor place to visit and is about 15 minutes outside of St. George. People love to swim, paddle board, and kayak here. It's free to get in and there's lots of beach area to set up and relax for the day.

A tip for visiting here...If you go in a group, carpool! Parking fills up fast.

7 - Red Fort Cuisine of India

This Indian restaurant is family friendly and has a menu full of delicious food. It's another restaurant on our list as one of the best in St. George. They serve the yummiest naan, butter chicken, chicken makhani, and countless other dishes. If you ask for spicy food...you're going to get it!

8 - Judd's General Store

Judd's General store is an old-fashioned sweet shop that sells ice cream, candy, and sodas. Along with these yummy sweets, the store also offers a lunch menu of soups and their famous breadsticks. The vintage storefront was built and opened in 1911 and is located on Tabernacle Street.

9 - Contact Climbing Gym

This is St. George's first full-service climbing gym, yoga studio, and strength and conditioning facility. All in one place! The gym just recently opened up in January 2021 and has beautiful indoor climbing walls with multiple routes, and offers classes for those wanting to learn how to safely climb.
