A Gift of Comfort and Hope: $3 Million Donation to Autism Services
“Autism services are crucial for healthy children and healthy communities,” says Gail Miller, Executive Campaign Cabinet Co-Chair of Primary Promise.
With these powerful words in mind, we are honored to share a story that reflects the heart of Minky Couture’s mission to give back. Rooted in her deep love for her two grandchildren with autism and her family’s journey to find the resources they needed, Sandi Hendry, founder of Minky Couture, has made an extraordinary commitment to families facing similar challenges.
Through a generous $3 million donation to Intermountain Children’s Health, Sandi and the Minky Couture family are helping establish new Autism Services as part of Primary Promise. This vital initiative is designed to close the care gap for families and children navigating autism by providing access to essential resources, therapies, and support systems.
“I’m so honored and privileged to be a part of this with Intermountain Health,” Sandi shared. “I am grateful today to be able to donate this portion, and I pray that I will be able to continue to contribute. I feel so blessed in my life to be able to do this today. Thank you, and here we go… let’s make this happen.”
This meaningful gift reflects what has always been at the core of Minky Couture: bringing comfort during life’s hardest and most important moments. The donation will help build programs and services that empower families and equip children with the tools they need to flourish in their own unique ways.
As the Autism Society of America so beautifully states, “Together, we can create a world where everyone, including people with autism, can reach their full potential.”
At Minky Couture, giving back is woven into everything we do. From donating thousands of mini blankets each year to hospitals across the nation through our Heart of Minky program, to supporting causes that uplift and heal, our mission is to share comfort far beyond our blankets.
