Here is Hadlee's story in the NICU told in the words of her mother.

I was 31 weeks pregnant with my first baby when I noticed she wasn't moving very much. We decided to go to the hospital to make sure everything was okay. Everything felt fine, but when they monitored my baby, her heart rate was randomly decreasing and would drop dangerously low. The nurses would all rush in, and after several of those events, they decided to get my baby girl out. Three hours after arriving at the hospital I had an emergency C-section. I will never forget my doctor coming in to tell me that if I had waited until the morning, my baby wouldn’t have survived. My doctor didn't see that she had not been gaining weight, and was only 2.8 lbs at birth. Hadlee spent 5 long weeks in the hospital being born exactly two month earlier than her due date. I have such a huge appreciation for the NICU staff that took care of my princess until she got stronger. She is a true miracle and I love that you guys donate to hospitals because those little things make those miserable stays a little bit better. ❤️❤️❤️
