Vivian's Heart of Minky NICU story is told here in the words of her mother.

In May of 2018 my sister surprised my family with the news she was pregnant. Things were great up until they weren’t. On October 1st, 2018 Lexi was grocery shopping and realized she was bleeding a little. She became nervous and headed straight to the hospital. My niece, only 25 weeks along, was born by Emergency C-Section. She weighed in at a whole 1lb 11oz and 13 inches long. The very next day my mom jumped in a plan and headed to Pennsylvania for a month to be with all of them.
Vivian, or as we call her, PJ for Princess Junior, has always been a strong and crazy baby! She rarely cries, loves food, most people, and loves her aunts, uncles, and grandparents the most! On Saturday we celebrated her first birthday! This day came so quickly but seemed so far away just a year ago! Vivian has been cleared by all departments and only needs oxygen in her sleep. She was released from the NICU in March and drove across the country with her parents to come back to Iowa, where she is now striving and growing. Perfect as ever!”

The Heart of Minky is exactly that, our heart. It is created for all who personally have a baby in the NICU or have had a baby there in the past.
