Why Minky Couture

If you're like us, you probably first saw minky fabric on a baby blanket.  You saw how cuddly the fabric was and how much little fingers loved to grab it and pull it against their chubby cheeks. While you were glad the baby had it, you wanted one too. So did we.

 

We decided that while a soft minky baby blanket would be nice to run our fingers over, it just wasn’t big enough to wrap up in. It was then that we decided to make minky blankets in our size. Minky Couture provides all with a custom designed plush blanket in any size they’d like. Our standard sizes run from a mini minky that babies can grab onto all the way to a monster minky that couples can wrap up in. (To see our other standard sizes click here)

 

More important than the fact that we provide all with a plush blanket in their size is the fact that these blankets are high quality and durable. We use the finest minky fabric and strong satin borders to create a super soft, yet durable blanket. We hand pick the fabrics we use, and refuse to use any fabric that will not provide you with the softest, warmest, most durable plush blanket you’ve ever had. Once the fabric is chosen, it is given to our highly skilled seamstresses to create a blanket that has tight stitching that is triple checked, strong satin borders that are tested for durability and an even finished off look that will add a nice touch to any room.  Each handmade blanket undergoes a quality control inspection to ensure that it meets the high Minky Couture standard.

 

As we’ve continued creating new options for our custom blanket orders we’ve used our interior design experience to provide our customers with blankets that are not only soft and durable, but that will also add an elegant touch of color to a bedroom, living room or entertaining area. As we’ve developed these designs, we’ve seen them used to dress up a rocking chair, add color to a tan sofa, and increase the elegant look of a grand piano.
